Job Description

Key Responsibilities::::

Develop and maintain an IBM DB2 for z/OS estate which has the following characteristics: -
Provides high availability (24x7)
Provides advanced functionality to permit the business to become a leader in new markets.
Perform all functions which are performed by a DB2 System Programmer (Senior), such as: - DB2 Installation, Migration, and PTF Installation with SMP/E
Create, manage and support DB2 Stored Procedures
Create and maintain DB2 structures in Coupling Facility
Maintain the DB2 Catalog/Directory (Analysis, Backup, Recover, Reorg, etc)
Performance Monitoring and Tuning DB2 at a subsystem level
Plan, analyze and implement DB2 Disaster Recovery procedures, practices and jobs
Create Change Requests, Resolve Service Requests, and Provide 24x7 Oncall support.
Make technical decisions on project or program direction
Track and analyze technology trends
Track and analyze performance trends
Provide budgetary input on software, technical projects, training and programs
Develop and manage schedules for major system software implementation projects
Trace and Dump capture and analysis.
